Connecticut Department of Administrative Services

Connecticut civil service test guides

The Connecticut Department of Administrative Services administers state merit exams and posts opportunities through the CT Careers portal.

Connecticut state employment for classified positions is administered by the Department of Administrative Services (DAS). Written examinations are used for many titles, and candidates are ranked on eligible lists based on exam scores.

Exam announcements are posted on the JobAps portal, which also handles applications. Each announcement identifies the exam format, subjects tested, and any approved study references.
